Buyer's Digest

Use this page as a product-first sourcing checkpoint before sending an RFQ. Category: Bakery And Snack Machinery. Confirm application fit, capacity, materials, destination, lead time and compliance requirements before comparing suppliers.

Original product description

Semi Auto Ink Production line in small and large capacity Stage 1: Pre-Mixing (Forming the Premix) 1. Weighing & Batching: Raw materials are precisely weighed according to the specific formula. 2. Loading: The base vehicle (resin solution or varnish), solvents, and pigments are loaded into a pre-mix tank. 3.

Mixing: A high-speed disperser mixes them into a homogeneous, but still coarse, paste. This step wets the pigment surfaces and breaks up large clumps to prepare the mix for efficient grinding. Stage 2: Grinding & Milling (Dispersion) 4.

Transfer: The premix is pumped (or manually fed) into the appropriate mill (e.g., a bead mill for liquids, a three-roll mill for pastes). 5. Dispersion: The mill applies intense shear forces to break apart pigment agglomerates into primary particles and uniformly disperse them throughout the vehicle.

This step develops the color strength, gloss, and other key properties. 6. Fineness Check: A sample is taken and checked on the Hegman gauge. The process continues until the desired fineness is achieved. Stage 3: Let-Down (Final Mixing & Adjustment) 7.

Transfer: The dispersed pigment base (called a "chip" for paste inks) is transferred to a larger let-down tank. 8. Addition: The remaining vehicle, solvents, driers, wax compounds, and other additives are added under controlled agitation. 9. Adjustment: The batch is thoroughly mixed and then tested.

Properties like viscosity, color, and tack are adjusted by adding small amounts of solvents or additives until the final specification is met. Stage 4: Filtration & Packaging 10. Filtration: The finished ink is pumped through a filtration system to remove any potential grit or impurities. 11.

Quality Control: A final QC check is performed to ensure the batch meets all specifications (color, viscosity, density, drying time, etc.). 12. Packaging: The approved ink is filled into appropriate containers, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
